Murad Pomegranate Energizing Lip Protector is hands down my favorite tube lip gloss for several reasons. First and foremost is the protection. In recent years, concerns were raised that lip gloss use could raise the risk of skin cancer. Being rather fanatical about sun protection, that sent me looking for lip gloss with SPF. Murad not only provided it through standard chemical sunscreens, but they also added pomegranate, which gives its own level of natural sun protection, along with healing and antioxidant protection. That makes for one heck of a powerful combination.

So, a pomegranate lip gloss with additional sunscreen alone would likely put the product on my favorite list. But there is more. This gloss also tastes great, has great shine, and is not at all sticky. Plus, with Jojaba and Shea Butter it moisturizes as well as any balm. And then they still didn’t stop! The gloss also contains salicylic acid for gentle exfoliation.

This is the only gloss I know of that conditions, exfoliates, protects, and manages to look and taste great all in one. When I reviewed it on Girl Gloss I said this: “Seriously: The best gloss of the year, or maybe the decade. Possibly even all time.” I still stand by that. It is my absolute favorite.
